Welcome to TRIO Educational Talent Search!

TRIO Educational Talent Search (TRIO) is an early intervention college preparation program that assists students in grades 6 through 12 to understand their educational opportunities and potential. The mission of TRIO is to encourage students to successfully complete middle school and high school and to gain admission to a post-secondary school of their choice.  TRIO is a partnership between the Metropolitan Development Council, the University of Washington-Tacoma, and the Tacoma School District.

The Metropolitan Development Council's TRIO Educational Talent Search program is funded by the Department of Education at $226,000 annually.
